Vivi's Rose, 2024… 60 inches by 36 inches tall. Acrylic and mediums on stretched linen support.

Vivi's Rose; detail. The original work was a subtle lavender-white Cirrus cloud marching across a soft grey sky but something was amiss with the priming of the linen. A vertical cleave was visible near the center of the work… It always bothered me. After a time, a rose presented itself as a solution.

Hook Cloud, 2016 MFA Summer Intensive. It hangs in my studio as a reminder to push for the unexpected; I still don't really know how to replicate the fluidity all the time but the process is slowly revealing itself.

Orange Steel Girder Cloud, Summer 2020. Previously finished work on panels in the studio are open to being revised, sanded, gessoed over; sometimes with an evolution of what exists on the panel and sometimes a complete abandon. This is the latter.
